It work...I have tried to install FreeNAS in VMWare. It works. FreeNAS serves out files like it would running on baremetal. One problem is FreeNAS is slow. I have an all Macs network so I do not know if that has anything to do with it. On baremetal, FreeNAS is dramatically faster compared to the virtualized FreeNAS on VMWare.<BR/><BR/>So my next interest is running FreeNAS on Xen. However, I cannot do this at the moment because the PC that has been used to run VMWare is not compatible with Xen. To do this I have to buy a new computer.
